"Funeral" advertisment

In the"funeral" advertisment,it was a funeral of a chinese man, David and the host was his wife which was of a different race, a Indian.The speech spoken was special and different from the others.In the funeral, his wife started off by mentioning all the trival bad trait that her husband has.She had said that"Ïn the end,it was this little things that you remember, the little imperfection that make them perfect for you " It was his bad sleeping habit that occupies the speech,as she imitate her husband snoring at night, she laughed and the guests laugh showing how her husband imperfection was now seen as his beautiful characteristics..By saying this, she wanted to expressed herself that what most memorable about her husband for her was the little things that she may once detest but which has now became the most vivid part of her memory.The director wanted to arise a sense of regretion from the audience.Secondly by using mixed race couple, the director wants to emphasize on the good releationship of the couple despite of the different in race, they might have faced many obstacle like disagreement between families and the difficulty in adjusting to different cultures yet at the funeral, the wife still felt sad for the leaving of his husband showing that the difference in race was not a major problem, what matter most was their determination to stay with each other.In conclusion, by mentioning the bad habits of the husband and by using couple of different race, the director wants to tells the audience that nothing really matter, the most important things is the will of the two party to stay together and also to remind people to cherish their family now before regretting when they leave them.

Favourite character

One of my favourite movie that I had watched before is "Harry potter and the goblet of fire" in the Harry potter series and off course ,my favourite character is Harry potter!What I like best about him is not his look or other things but his determind character.We had all grew up with Harry potter over the past 10 years in his magical word,we grew and he grew. His look changes, his size changes ,but his character did not change till the end, he was still the Harry potter who is determind to get rid of villian who harms other even though he faced many difficulty, he don't mind risking his life to preserve the rightness that he has in his heart.In the story, the villian voldemort had return ever since people thought that he had died.Harry's name was submitted into the Triwizard tournament by one of his followers which hoped to revived him .Harry faces many difficulty but still managed to pass the tournament and when he knew the truth ,he had to fight the powerful villian that had recovered and whose power had doubled.In the end,he had successfully did fight off voldemort with his strong determination.What I found similar about us is that we would try our best to get what we want,I had a ambition to a doctor in the future and hence now i strive hard in my sciences so that i could get what i want and maybe it is the perserverance about him that I like.

unseen poem

How do i feel about unseen poem?I feel that unseen is very interesting and contain a sense of mystery.In the poem , the writer have a knack of using specific words to describe a object or incident.By using these words, it could evoke emotions from the readers even without withnessing it by their own.They uses many literary devices like symbol and also uses exclaimation in senstences to convey their message to the readers.Unseen poem often could evoke a sense of sympathy from the readers by using very describing words.Hence, in all i find that a unseen is very unique and special and I like to analyse it it.

Romeo and Juliet

After the mid year examination, we were assigned to different groups for the Romeo and Juliet performance.We had decided to meet up during the June holidays to discuss on it but as everyone had their own activities, we could not decide on the time and had only brought some masks for the party.


It was only when the school reopen that we finalised on the roles, I was assigned to be the female leading character, Juliet.Although I didn't know if i could performed well, I accepted it as the time was rushing.We then proceeded to prepare the props.We met up several times at my house to prepare the background view and the ballroom scene.We brought some cardboard and using the paint we had , we painted it according to the atmosphere of the scene.There was a time when we had to repaint one of the scene as it was horrible!We also had to buy more paint as it was enough for the scenes


Then,we were told that there would be a dry run of the performance soon.Again, each of us has our CCA and other activity and we could not meet up to rehearse and so, what we could do  was just to memorise our lines and act accordingly on that day.But, it went terribly wrong! Everything was fine until the Romeo and Juliet scene,as it was our first time acting, we could not contain our laughter and the words that we were supposed to say seemed to stuck in our throat.We either said it too soft or that the words sound fuuny from us, there was not a slightest tinge of emotion in it.Hence, after knowing the problem that we faced, we decied to change my character to the other person in our group,Sarah.Although Sarah was also not the kind that could speak well in front of others, but at least she could perform better than  me and also she coud also refrain from laughing too much.Therefore, after so much obstacle, things have went more smoothly and we had also started to practice the dance etc.In a nutshell, we learned that we should plan well before doing anything and that if there was a problem, it would not be only a person's fault but the whole group's as we work together.

Macberth is a captain of Scotland,King Duncan's  man.He fought with Mcdonwald the rebellion and won the war.He was brave and killed Macdonwald fast. Next, the Norweyan lord saw this as a advantage when they sent their men away for cover and use this as a opporunity and attack them with new men and supplies.Still,in the end,macbeth won .On his way back,he met three witches that told him that he would become the king one day,he didn't care about it at first but when King Duncan promoted him with the title of thane of cawdor who had joined the Norweyan for the rebel.He started to believe it and took action against Duncan by killing him and robbed his position.In the end Macbeth was also killed by other people.
My favourite character was Macbeth e,ven though he was greedy as he was seen as as brave and capable captain.Not only did he fought won ,he also killed the Norweyan who had more weapon than them.This is why he is my favourite character as he had the ability to do things.
From this story I learnt that we shouldnt be greedy as Macbeth who had believe to the witches' prophecy because i believe that no one can foretell the future.Macbeth could become the King was because of his doing .If he remain as a captain and didn't killed the king for his position ,he may still stay alright instead of being killed by another person again.This story told us to be satisfies with what we have now and let nature take its own course.

This week,we continue to learn and read sbout the "Act 1 scene 2" of Macbeth.The language that Shakesphere used was very unique.He used imabic pentameter in most of the lines.Iambic means natural while pentameter means 10. So the lines has 10 syllabus and can be read naturally with a syllabus being stressed and the one after it not stresssed and so on and so for.The language used have a deep meaninng in it and they used simile and metaphor."Smoked with bloody execution" shows swifness and speed while "like a rebel's whore" is referring to it as prostitude.By reading this,I can understand the story.
Scene 2 show about the captain reporting to the King Duncan of the situation of the war .Although Macdonwald was powerful but still Macbeth won and killed him in a split second..Norwegin King saw this chance and attacked them,this still didn't frightened Macbeth and Banquo,instead they became braver .Now it was Ross who report that they won and that they told the Norwegian KIng that they only allowed them to bury their men when they retreated and paid them $10 000.So,Cawdor was executed and his titles was given to Macbeth.


This was what I had learnt and we were also told to draw a comic strip of part of the story which would help us to understand more about the story.I think that if we were shown a video Macbeth,we would then really understand it.

Dear Diary,

   Today Ms Malyana told us to write about a time when someone told me that something impossible would happen in my life and it really happened.On recalling back the 13 and half years of my life, I remembered that there was really a time when this happened.

It happened  i was primary 3. Back then, i was young and almost believe in everything that my parents said. Then one day, dad called me and told me solemnly that I would top the class .When I heard this, I was shocked and thought that it was ridiculous as this was first time a person told me this. I often heard people told me that i would be the last in class but this time it was not the same so i choose to ignored it.

After that day,I often heard that my cousin was the first in their their class or that they won something. This might had might influence me and i began to visualise myself scored all "A" for my exam,everyone was cheering for me and it seem real', the prediction was slowly realised.

So,my impatient character act on and i wanted to acheive it faster. I started to pay attention to my work and concentrate in class, I didn't even watched the television program. I was really hardworking as the scene of me being the first in class kept appearing in my mind every time i does my work and it was like a magic allowing me to perservere.

Soon that day had come, when I really was the first in class,i very happy and felt that the prediction was incredible which is why it lead me to believe in magic . However, i soon realised that there was really no magic in the world, I can top the class is because of my effort and my mindset of what i wanted and my father told me that ,he had guess that with this impatient temper of me, i would do something about it.

In all, I think that having a good mindset is a important factor in achieving what you want., so you should have a positive mindset before you start to do a thing.
